Tatback 2013, Fatbrain’s campaign organised in response to the increasing amount of truly awful presents distributed over the festive period, is now gathering pace. Disgruntled recipients of some of the worst presents of Christmas 2012 have been posting pictures of their unwanted, and in some cases, downright bizarre, gifts at tatback and the public have started voting on those most worthy of compensation.
As we all make our New Year resolutions it’s the perfect time of year to stop for a second and think about just how much we all consume. At Fatbrain we recycle and redistribute unwanted books as part of our business, but that’s only one way to minimise the drain on our natural resources.
We are going the extra mile for the New Year and throughout January we’ll be paying cash for the worst gifts of Christmas 2012, whether its shameful shirts or catastrophic cardigans, awful ornamentation or dire DVDs.
Those of you unfortunate enough to have opened a load of rubbish this Christmas needn’t despair. You can log on to tatback.com, upload a picture of the offending article and cross your fingers that the public votes for you to receive cash by way of compensation. Ultimately, the tat we acquire will be auctioned to the less discerning and the proceeds donated to Oxfam. Afterall, one man’s tat is another man’s gold.
Rather than allowing it to end up in landfill, Fatbrain is finding a new home for Christmas tat. We need you guys to get involved. So get uploading and get rid!
